Please note that you will need a power lead to power on this device. This device does not have polarity protection, do not plug it in backwards! No warranty will be offered if it is plugged in backwards, just like an ESC. Each device is powered on and programmed after the wires are soldered on. Which means that the device leaves the manufacturer in working order.
